Types of Financial Aid Available

At MedQuest College, we’re committed to helping you find ways to make your education affordable. There are several types of financial aid available to those who qualify—each designed to support your educational journey in different ways:

Grants

Grants are need-based financial aid that does not need to be repaid. Common examples include:

  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

Loans

Student loans are borrowed funds that must be repaid, typically after you finish school.

Options include:

  • Federal Direct Subsidized Loans – Need-based; the government pays interest while you’re in school.
  • Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans – Not need-based; interest begins accruing as soon as the loan is disbursed.
  • PLUS Loans – Available to parents of dependent students to help cover additional educational costs.

Our Financial Aid Advisors will walk you through loan terms, repayment options, and how to borrow responsibly.

Scholarships

Scholarships are gift aid that does not require repayment and are often based on merit, community involvement, leadership, or specific interests.

Military and Veterans Benefits

If you’re a service member, veteran, or dependent, you may qualify for educational assistance through VA benefits or military tuition assistance programs. Our team can help you understand what’s available and how to apply.
